Carbondale Town, Garfield County, Colorado is a town located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. It is home to over 5196 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 6266, It is the 89th most populous in the U.S. state of Colorado. Its area is just over 2.01 square miles (5.21 square kilometre), makes it the 165th largest by total area in Colorado.

The population density was 2583.8 people per square mile (997.61/kmē), it is the 42nd most densely populated town in the U.S. state of Colorado. There were 1821 housing units at an average density of 906 per square mile (349.81/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.89 persons, and the average family size was 3.32 persons.
