Carbon County, Pennsylvania is a county of the United States of Pennsylvania. In 2000, county's population was 58802 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 63558, It is the 40th largest in terms of population. The county spans an area of 387.23 sq mi (1002.92 kmē), of which, 381.04 square miles (986.89 kmē) of it is land and 6.2 square miles (16.06 kmē) of it is water, making it the tenth smallest by size in Pennsylvania.
