Capitan Village is a city in the Lincoln County, New Mexico, United States. The population of the city was 1443 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1510, It is the 92nd largest by population in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It is spread over 3.2 mi˛ (8.29 square kilometre), makes it the 131st largest by total area in New Mexico.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1443 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the city. The population density was 450.9 people per square mile (174.09/km˛), it is 105th most densely populated city in New Mexico.
