Cape Coral City is a United States city located in the Lee County, Florida, United States. In 2000, the population was 102286. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 156835, It is the 13th largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 115.1 square miles (298.11 sq km), of which, 105.19 square miles (272.44 sq km) of it is land and 9.91 square miles (25.67 sq km) of it is water, it is the fourth largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 102286 people in the city, organized into 40768 households, and 30210 families living in the city. The population density was 972.4 people per square mile (375.45/kmē), it is the 294th least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Florida.
