According to the 2000 census it had a population of 222 inhabitants. making it Alaska's 178th largest. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the census designated place has a total area of 118.73 square miles (307.51 sq km), of which, 118.26 square miles (306.29 sq km) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 sq km) of it is water, it is the 57th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alaska.
