Canton City is a city located in Stark County, Ohio, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 80806. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 78362, It is Ohio's ninth largest by population . Its area is just over 20.56 miē (53.25 kmē), of which, 20.55 square miles (53.22 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 34th largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.
