Canton City is a city located in Lewis County, Missouri, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2557. The July 2008 population estimate is 2469, It is the 212th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.54 square miles (6.58 square kilometre), of which, 2.29 square miles (5.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 216th largest by size in Missouri.
