Campbell County is a United States county located in the United States of Virginia. As of 2000 the population was 51078. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 53030, It is the 34th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Virginia. The county spans an area of 507.26 square miles (1313.8 kmē), of which, 504.48 square miles (1306.6 kmē) of it is land and 2.78 square miles (7.2 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 25th largest by total area among Virginia's county.
