Camden County is a county in the United States of Georgia. It is home to over 43664 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 47641, It is Georgia's 42nd most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 782.52 miē (2026.72 kmē ), of which, 629.91 square miles (1631.46 kmē) of it is land and 152.61 square miles (395.26 kmē) of it is water, giving it the sixth largest by total area among Georgia's county. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Georgia.

The population density was 69.3 people per square mile (26.76/kmē), it is the 69th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Georgia. There were 16958 housing units at an average density of 26.9 per square mile (10.39/kmē). The average household size was 2.84 persons, and the average family size was 3.22 persons. In the Camden County, 31.7% of the population was under the age of 18, 12.9% were 18 to 24, 33.9% were 25 to 44, 16.3% were 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 107 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.5 males.
