Camas City is one of the city of Clark County, Washington, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. It is home to over 12534 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 17950, making it Washington's 84th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 12.57 mi˛ (32.56 square kilometre ), of which, 10.91 square miles (28.26 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.67 square miles (4.33 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 59th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12534 people in the city, organized into 4480 households, and 3421 families residing in the city. The population density was 1149.3 people per square mile (443.75/km˛), it is Washington's 233rd most densely populated city. There were 4736 housing units at an average density of 434.1 per square mile (167.61/km˛). The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.19. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.6 males. The median age was 34.2 years, the median age of male residents at 34.3 and the median age of female residents at 34.2. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 92.01% White, 0.69% Black or African American, 0.69% American Indian, 3.41% Asian, 0.14% Native Hawaiian, 2.26% from two or more races and 0.8% Other races.
