Calhoun County, Iowa is a county of the United States of Iowa. It is home to over 11115 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 9887, It is Iowa's 23rd least populous county. The county spans an area of 572.29 sq mi (1482.22 kmē), of which, 570.15 square miles (1476.68 kmē) of it is land and 2.14 square miles (5.54 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 51st largest by total area in Iowa.
