Calhoun County, Arkansas is a county located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Calhoun County is home to 5744 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 5435, It is the smallest in terms of population. It is spread over 632.54 square miles (1638.27 kmē), of which, 628.27 square miles (1627.21 kmē ) of it is land and 4.27 square miles (11.06 kmē) of it is water, it is the 48th largest by area in the U.S. state of Arkansas.
