Calhoun County is a county located in the United States of Alabama. In 2000, county's population was 112249 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 113419, It is the tenth largest in terms of population. It is spread over 612.32 sq mi (1585.9 sq km), of which, 608.46 square miles (1575.9 sq km ) of it is land and 3.86 square miles (10 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 16th smallest by total area in Alabama.

For every 100 females there were 91.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.1 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 113419, The racial makeup of the county was 88321 White, 22538 Black or African American, 464 American Indian, 794 Asian, 81 Native Hawaiian, and 1221 from two or more races.
