Caldwell County is a one of the county from Missouri's 115 counties and independent city, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 8969 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 9248, making it the 24th least populous county in Missouri. Its area is just over 429.72 mi˛ (1112.97 square kilometre), of which, 429.34 square miles (1111.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.38 square miles (0.98 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Missouri's 14th smallest county by total area.

For every 100 males there were 102.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.5 females. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 9248, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 9028 White, 82 Black or African American, 36 American Indian, 13 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 89 from two or more races.
