Byron City is a city located in the Olmsted County, Minnesota, United States. Byron City had an official population of 3500 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4550, making it the 166th most populous in Minnesota. It covers total area of 1.42 square miles (3.68 square kilometre), it is the 396th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3500 residents, 1179 households, and 980 families in the city. The population density was 2457.6 people per square mile (948.88/kmē), it would be the 43rd most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
