Butler City is a one of the Pendleton County, Kentucky, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Butler City is home to 613 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 627, making it Kentucky's 311th largest. The city encompasses an area of 0.24 sq mi (0.62 kmē ), of which, 0.23 square miles (0.6 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 83rd smallest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.
