Butler Borough is a borough located in the Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It is home to over 7420 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 8118, giving it the 221st largest population among New Jersey. The borough comprises an area of 2.09 square miles (5.41 sq km), of which, 2.08 square miles (5.39 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 283rd largest in terms of geographical size.
