Burlington County is a county located in the United States of New Jersey. In 2000, county's population was 423394 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 445475, making it New Jersey's 11th largest county. It covers total area of 819.43 mi˛ (2122.31 sq km), of which, 804.57 square miles (2083.83 sq km) of it is land and 14.86 square miles (38.49 sq km) of it is water, making it New Jersey's second largest county by total area. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in New Jersey.

The population density was 526.2 people per square mile (203.17/km˛), it is the 14th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 161311 housing units at an average density of 200.5 per square mile (77.41/km˛). The average household size was 2.65 people, and the average family size was 3.14 people. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 25.2% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 445475, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 76.86% White, 16.8% Black or African American, 0.26% American Indian, 4.06% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, and 1.97% from two or more races.
