Burke County, North Dakota is a county of the United States of North Dakota. In 2000, the population was 2242. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 1820, It is the seventh least populous county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. It is spread over 1129.26 sq mi (2924.77 sq km), of which, 1103.53 square miles (2858.13 sq km ) of it is land and 25.73 square miles (66.64 sq km) of it is water, making it the 32nd largest by size in North Dakota.

The July 2008 population estimate is 1820, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 99.01% White, 0.27% Black or African American, 0.27% American Indian, 0.16% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.27% from two or more races.
