Bunkie City is a one of the Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. It is home to over 4662 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 4465, making it the 115th most populous in Louisiana. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.66 square miles (6.89 square kilometre ), of which, 2.64 square miles (6.84 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 214th largest in terms of geographical size.
