Bullitt County is one of the 120 county of Kentucky, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 61236 as per the Census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 75028, giving it the 11th largest population among Kentucky's county. The county encompasses an area of 300.2 sq mi (777.51 sq km ), of which, 299.08 square miles (774.61 sq km) of it is land and 1.12 square miles (2.9 sq km) of it is water, it is the 66th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.
