Buena Vista City, Georgia is a city of the Marion County, Georgia, United States. It is home to over 1664 people (2000 census). It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1642, It is the 273rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its area is just over 3.28 square miles (8.5 sq km), of which, 3.24 square miles (8.39 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 245th largest by total area among Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1664 people, 645 households, and 378 families living in the city.
