Buckhannon City is a United States city located in the Upshur County, West Virginia, United States. It is home to over 5725 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 5505, It is the 27th most populous in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The city spans an area of 2.47 sq mi (6.4 kmē), it is the 79th largest by area in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
