Bryan County is a United States county located in the United States of Oklahoma. The county has a population of 36534 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 40109, making it Oklahoma's 24th largest county. The county spans an area of 943.43 sq mi (2443.47 square kilometre), of which, 908.8 square miles (2353.78 square kilometre) of it is land and 34.63 square miles (89.69 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 28th largest by total area in Oklahoma. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Oklahoma.

The population density was 40.2 people per square mile (15.52/kmē), it is 27th most densely populated county in Oklahoma. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 24.8% under the age of 18, 11.7% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.4 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 40109, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 32112 White, 879 Black or African American, 4881 American Indian, 244 Asian, 19 Native Hawaiian, and 1974 from two or more races.
