Brundidge City is a city located in Pike County, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2341 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 2270, It is the 178th most populous in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is spread over 9.74 mi˛ (25.23 sq km), of which, 9.7 square miles (25.12 sq km ) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, it is the 137th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2341 residents, 1014 households, and 652 families in the city. The population density was 241.2 people per square mile (93.13/km˛), it is Alabama's 300th most densely populated city. There were 1192 housing units at an average density of 122.9 per square mile (47.45/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.3 persons, and the average family size was 2.93 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 22.7% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 82.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 75 males. The median age was 42.3 years, the median age of male residents at 37.8 and the median age of female residents at 45.9. The racial makeup of the city was 33.4% White, 63.52% Black or African American, 0.51% American Indian, 0.26% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 2.31% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
