Brooten City is a one of the Stearns and Pope counties, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 649. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 616, making it the 430th most populous in Minnesota. It is spread over 1.45 mi˛ (3.76 sq km), making it the 388th largest by size in Minnesota.
