As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 3202 inhabitants. It is the 200th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 1.97 mi˛ (5.1 square kilometre), of which, 1.36 square miles (3.52 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.61 square miles (1.58 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 227th largest by size in Maryland.
