Brookfield City is a city located in the Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. It is home to over 38649 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 39020 in July 2008, giving it the 16th largest population among Wisconsin. The city has a total area of 27.27 square miles (70.63 kmē), of which, 27.2 square miles (70.45 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 19th largest by total area among Wisconsin.
