Bristol City is a city located in the Sullivan County, Tennessee, United States. In 2000, the population was 24821. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 25817, making it Tennessee's 20th largest. The city encompasses an area of 29.48 sq mi (76.35 sq km ), of which, 29.35 square miles (76.02 sq km) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 sq km) of it is water, it is the 17th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
