Brisbane City is a city located in San Mateo County, California, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. It is home to over 3597 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 3677, It is the 665th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 20.53 square miles (53.17 sq km), of which, 3.32 square miles (8.6 sq km) of it is land and 17.21 square miles (44.57 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 148th largest by total area in California. It is ranks 14 in the size of its inland waterways in California.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3597 people, 1620 households, and 850 families living in the city. The population density was 1083.6 people per square mile (418.38/kmē), giving it the 673rd most densely populated city among the California. There were 1831 housing units at an average density of 551.5 per square mile (212.94/kmē). The average household size was 2.2 and the average family size was 2.89. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 17.7% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 37.5% from 25 to 44, 31.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.3 males. The median age is 40.3 years, the median age of male residents at 40.1 and the median age of female residents at 40.6. The racial makeup of the city was 2624 White, 38 Black or African American, 24 American Indian, 524 Asian, 22 Native Hawaiian, 185 from two or more races and 180 Ohter races.
