Brighton City is one of the city of Adams and Weld counties, Colorado, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 20905 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 31380, It is the 29th most populous in the U.S. state of Colorado. It has total area of 17.13 sq mi (44.37 square kilometre), of which, 17.08 square miles (44.24 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 29th largest by size in Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 20905 people, 6718 households, and 5060 families living in the city. The population density was 1224.1 people per square mile (472.63/kmē), making it the 150th most densely populated city in Colorado. There were 6990 housing units at an average density of 409.3 per square mile (158.03/kmē). The average household size was 2.92 persons, and the average family size was 3.34 persons.
