Brighton City is a city located in Jefferson County, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3640 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 3263, It is Alabama's 134th largest by population . The city encompasses an area of 1.4 square miles (3.63 sq km), making it the 90th smallest by size in Alabama.
