Brielle Borough is a United States borough located in the Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4893 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4882, It is the 289th most populous in the U.S. state of New Jersey. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.37 sq mi (6.14 kmē), of which, 1.78 square miles (4.61 kmē) of it is land and 0.59 square miles (1.53 kmē) of it is water, making it New Jersey's 255th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 4893 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2754.4 people per square mile (1063.48/kmē), making its New Jersey's 268th most densely populated borough. There were 2123 housing units at an average density of 1192.7 per square mile (460.5/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.52 persons, and the average family size was 3 persons. Age range in the borough was well distributed with 23.7% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 29% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.8 males. The median age is 42.9 years, The median age of males was 42.2 years, for females the median age was 43.8 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 4553 White, 172 Black or African American, 3 American Indian, 33 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 53 from two or more races and 79 Ohter races.
