Brantley County is a county located in Georgia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The county has a population of 14629 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 15511, It is the 105th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. The county comprises an area of 447.42 mi˛ (1158.81 sq km), of which, 444.4 square miles (1150.99 sq km) of it is land and 3.02 square miles (7.82 sq km) of it is water, it is the 44th largest in terms of geographical size.

In the county the population was distributed as follows: 28.3% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 15511, The racial makeup of the county was 93.75% White, 4.91% Black or African American, 0.14% American Indian, 0.08% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.11% from two or more races.
