Boyd County is a county located in the United States of Nebraska. The population of the county was 2438 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2090, making it the 20th least populous county in Nebraska. The county has a total area of 544.59 mi˛ (1410.48 square kilometre), of which, 540.05 square miles (1398.72 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.54 square miles (11.76 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 22nd smallest by size in Nebraska.
