Bowling Green Town is a United States town located in the Caroline County, Virginia, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 936 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1021, It is the 109th least populous in the U.S. state of Virginia. The town comprises an area of 1.61 square miles (4.17 sq km), of which, 1.59 square miles (4.12 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 123rd smallest by total area among Virginia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 936 people in the town, organized into 387 households, and 213 families residing in the town. The population density was 587.1 people per square mile (226.68/kmē), making its Virginia's 117th least densely populated town. There were 425 housing units at an average density of 267.3 per square mile (103.21/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.1 persons, and the average family size was 2.81 persons. Age range in the town was well distributed with 17.1% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 32.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 69.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 66.9 males.
