Bowbells City is a city located in Burke County, North Dakota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 406 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 322, It is 115th most populous in North Dakota. The city spans an area of 0.8 square miles (2.07 kmē), of which, 0.79 square miles (2.05 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 141st largest by size in North Dakota.
