Boulder County is a one of the county from Colorado's 63 counties, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The county has a population of 291288 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 293161, making it Colorado's sixth largest county. The county encompasses an area of 751.37 sq mi (1946.04 kmē ), of which, 742.46 square miles (1922.96 kmē) of it is land and 8.91 square miles (23.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the 13th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.

The population density was 392.3 people per square mile (151.47/kmē), it is Colorado's fourth most densely populated county. In the county the population was spread out, with 22.9% under the age of 18, 13.4% from 18 to 24, 33.6% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 7.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.7 males. Its population was estimated at 293161 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 92.51% White, 1.18% Black or African American, 0.76% American Indian, 3.82% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, and 1.67% from two or more races.
