Bossier City City is a one of the Bossier Parish, Louisiana, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 56461 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 62384, making it the eighth most populous in Louisiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 41.62 miē (107.8 kmē), of which, 40.84 square miles (105.78 kmē) of it is land and 0.79 square miles (2.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the seventh largest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
