Borden County is a county in the United States of Texas. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Borden County is home to 729 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 593, making it Texas's fourth smallest county. It is spread over 906.04 sq mi (2346.63 square kilometre), of which, 898.8 square miles (2327.88 square kilometre ) of it is land and 7.24 square miles (18.75 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 150th largest by total area among Texas's county.

The population density was 0.8 people per square mile (0.31/kmē), giving it the seventh least densely populated county among the Texas. There were 435 housing units at an average density of 0.5 per square mile (0.19/kmē). The average household size was 2.5 people, and the average family size was 2.93 people. The population's age distribution was 24.6% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 25% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.3 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 593, The racial makeup of the county was 97.98% White, 0.17% Black or African American, 0.34% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 1.52% from two or more races.
