Boone Town is a town in the Watauga County, North Carolina, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 13472 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 13945, It is the 53rd most populous in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The town extends throughout a territory of 5.84 sq mi (15.13 sq km ), it is the 149th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 13472 people, 4374 households, and 1239 families living in the town. The population density was 2307 people per square mile (890.74/kmē), making it the seventh most densely populated town in North Carolina. There were 4748 housing units at an average density of 813 per square mile (313.9/kmē). The average household size was 1.97 persons, and the average family size was 2.63 persons. In the town Age distribution was 5.8% under the age of 18, 65.9% from 18 to 24, 12.1% from 25 to 44, 9.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 104.6 females. The racial makeup of the town was 93.98% White, 3.42% Black or African American, 0.3% American Indian, 1.19% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, 0.6% from two or more races and 0.46% Other races.
