Boone County, Arkansas is a county of the United States of Arkansas. It is home to over 33948 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 36881, giving it the 20th largest population among Arkansas's county. The county has a total area of 601.82 square miles (1558.71 kmē), of which, 591.18 square miles (1531.15 kmē) of it is land and 10.64 square miles (27.56 kmē) of it is water, making it Arkansas's 16th smallest county by total area.
