Bonesteel City is one of the city of Gregory County, South Dakota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 297 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 255, It is the 181st largest by population in the U.S. state of South Dakota. The city spans an area of 0.34 mi˛ (0.88 square kilometre), it is the 100th smallest by area in the U.S. state of South Dakota.
