Bolivar Borough is a borough located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 501 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 464, giving it the 303rd smallest population among Pennsylvania. It is spread over 0.19 mi˛ (0.49 square kilometre), of which, 0.18 square miles (0.47 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 95th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 501 residents, 200 households, and 148 families in the borough. The population density was 2749.9 people per square mile (1061.74/km˛), it is the 448th most populated borough in terms of population density. There were 220 housing units at an average density of 1222.2 per square mile (471.89/km˛). The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.85. In the borough the population was spread out, with 18.2% under the age of 18, 9% from 18 to 24, 22.6% from 25 to 44, 30.1% from 45 to 64, and 20.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.3 males. The median age is 45.2 years, the median age of male residents at 43.9 and the median age of female residents at 45.5. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 95.81% White, 0.4% Black or African American, 3.19% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.4% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
