Boise County, Idaho is a county located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 6670 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 7504, It is the 11th smallest in terms of population. The county comprises an area of 1906.76 sq mi (4938.49 sq km), of which, 1902.46 square miles (4927.35 sq km) of it is land and 4.3 square miles (11.14 sq km) of it is water, it is the 15th largest by area in the U.S. state of Idaho.

In the county the population was spread out, with 26.9% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 30.3% from 45 to 64, and 11% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 105.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.3 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 7504, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.5% White, 0.17% Black or African American, 0.93% American Indian, 0.41% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, and 1.87% from two or more races.
