Boaz City is a city located in Marshall and Etowah counties, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 7411 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 8349, giving it the 75th largest population among Alabama. It is spread over 12.25 sq mi (31.73 kmē), of which, 12.2 square miles (31.6 kmē ) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 103rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7411 people, 3155 households, and 2086 families residing in the city. The population density was 607.7 people per square mile (234.63/kmē), it is the 101st most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alabama.
