Blythe City is a city located in the Riverside County, California, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 12155 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 21727, giving it the 402nd largest population among California. The city extends throughout a territory of 25.02 sq mi (64.8 kmē ), of which, 24.24 square miles (62.78 kmē) of it is land and 0.78 square miles (2.02 kmē) of it is water, making it the 113th largest by size in California.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12155 people in the city, organized into 4103 households, and 2976 families living in the city. The population density was 501.5 people per square mile (193.63/kmē), making it the 264th least densely populated city in California. There were 4891 housing units at an average density of 201.8 per square mile (77.92/kmē). The average household size was 2.91 and the average family size was 3.45. Age range in the city was well distributed with 33.9% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 19% from 45 to 64, and 9.9% who were 65 or older.
