Blount County is a county located in the United States of Tennessee. In 2000, the population was 105823. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 121511, It is the tenth largest county by population in the U.S. state of Tennessee. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 566.65 miē (1467.62 kmē), of which, 558.56 square miles (1446.66 kmē) of it is land and 8.08 square miles (20.93 kmē) of it is water, it is the 24th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

In the county Population was distributed with 22.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 29.4% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.8 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 121511, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 114678 White, 3858 Black or African American, 362 American Indian, 1239 Asian, 31 Native Hawaiian, and 1343 from two or more races.
