Bloomington City is a United States city located in the Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The city has a population of 85172 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 81280, It is the fifth largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city spans an area of 38.37 mi˛ (99.38 square kilometre), of which, 35.48 square miles (91.89 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.89 square miles (7.49 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 14th largest in terms of geographical size.
