Bloomingdale City is a one of the Chatham County, Georgia, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of the city was 2665 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2633, It is the 210th most populous in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its area is just over 13.31 square miles (34.47 kmē), of which, 13.18 square miles (34.14 kmē) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 kmē) of it is water, making it the 53rd largest by size in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2665 people in the city, organized into 1001 households, and 753 families residing in the city. The population density was 202.3 people per square mile (78.11/kmē), it is 95th least densely populated city in Georgia. There were 1051 housing units at an average density of 79.7 per square mile (30.77/kmē). The average household size was 2.65 persons, and the average family size was 3.05 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 26.9% under the age of 18, 9% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.6 males.
